Nursery
Come visit us!
The only nursery on the westside specializing in edible plants
PROMOTING PLANT DIVERSITY - Not only will our nursery reflect what is growing in our production garden seasonally and what we’ve grown for our chefs, but we will also stock some heirlooms that may not be so familiar. Doing this furthers our commitment to bring back the plant diversity that has been so drastically diminished over generations by the mega-seed houses. You can count on us to have something for everyone - from the beginner to the more experienced gardener and home cook.
WE’VE GOT YOUR BACK - Never grown a particular plant before? We’ve got you covered with expert advice. Our support doesn’t end when you leave the garden with your plants. We’re here for you with advice and organic solutions when you experience challenges. Often we’ll be confronted with the same issues you are facing which is one of the benefits of shopping at a neighborhood nursery. We use our garden as a teaching tool demonstrating how to identify and solve problems by actually walking you out into our garden.
GREENHOUSE SERVICES - Many of the more unusual herbs and vegetables we carry are propagated and organically grown on-site in our greenhouse. Have seeds you’ve brought back from a trip or been gifted by someone special? Have a memory of an edible plant from your cultural heritage that you’d love to grow? We’re global seed sourcers and happy to do custom propagation for you. Just ask us!

Group Lessons - A more economical way to learn, these small group classes include a lecture, digital class syllabus and “hands-on” lab. We will offer a rotating schedule of seasonal classes covering topics ranging from the basics of organic food gardening to focussed classes on organic pest/disease control and soil management. We will also offer guest instructors leading classes on nutrition, garden cocktail/mocktails, food preserving, cooking, garden art, natural food dyes and much more! During COVID class size will be restricted to allow for us to meet social separation guidelines. Classes are outdoors. Masks are required.
